‘comment your work

March 28, 2007

You might have heard of people telling you to comment your code, but you figure why bother if you already know what your writing. Although this is true, it sometimes helps to write yourself a note so you know what is going on in your script.

Almost every programming language allows the author to write a comment in their code. So whatever language your writing programs with, comment on what your doing. Why? Because if your working on several projects simultaneously, you might forget what you were up to in your script. Believe me, it happens.

It’s also a good way to organize your code. This way you can have all of you functions and whatnot’s properly organized for the next person (that is, of course, if you have multiple people on one script).
