Google hit’s Microsoft where it hurts

February 22, 2007

Watch out MS office users, humongoid company Google revealed that they are releasing their version of office based software. They are currently offering a free version of the application for gmail users. They plan to make it less expensive then MS office and hope to have users switch over. So for $50 a year, you can pretty much to the same thing MS office does (and cheaper).

Google Docs is said to be able to support most handheld devices and expect to expand this branch of Google later this year. Will there ever be a day where Google is the Internet?

I get that they are on their mission to organize the world’s information and whatnot, but now their attempting to step into applications that are Microsoft’s bread and butter; now those are fighting words.  What’s next, a Google operating system?
